Rānui Generation provides ready-to-build solar sites in New Zealand. We acquire suitable sites, develop an optimal design and gain permission to build and connect.
We consult with local authorities, industry, mana whenua/tangata whenua, power providers and line companies.
Our team consists of solar energy experts, resource management planners and electrical engineers who work alongside our commercial and sustainable energy managers.
We are committed to a sustainable future and assisting New Zealand achieve 100 percent renewable power generation by 2030.

Site specific design for optimal solar solution
Our solar design engineers produce the optimal solar solution for a specific site. Designs meet the requirement of energy buyers, councils and other interested parties to ensure the build is simple, cost effect and meets relevant safety and environmental requirements.
Connection for commercial availability
Our team works with local industry, power generation providers and lines companies to ensure the energy generated is commercially available.We can provide power to wholesale electricity market players or through a virtual PPA to commercial customers.
Working with landowners to generate renewable energy
Solar Power generation is suited to locations throughout New Zealand. A large scale solar array especially suits areas frequently experiencing droughts or where the land is less arable. Alice Hosted
Development Manager
An experienced planner, Alice has worked across local and central government as well as private sector. She has extensive experience in obtaining approvals under relevant legislation (including Resource Management Act), community consultation and regulatory compliance.
Over her two years at Rānui, Alice has built excellent rapport with Ranui's stakeholders including mana whenua/tangata whenua, landowners and neighbours.

James Pepper
Project Manager
James comes to Rānui with over 30 years in the construction industry and extensive experience in managing construction of large scale commercial and multi-residential developments.
James is responsible for management of construction, liaising within contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget.

Brian O'Rorke
Advisor
Brian has vast experience in the solar industry throughout Australasia, Europe and Asia including project design, development and EPC contracting. He has deep knowledge of the renewable energy domain backed with expertise in engineering in business.
Brian will oversee development of new solar assets and asset performance monitoring for Rānui.
